John W. Gudritz, CFA - john@frontstreet.com

With over 20 years of investment experience, prior to co-founding Front Street Investment Management LLC in early 2003, John was a partner and principal at AMBS Investment Counsel, LLC, a Grand Rapids, Michigan investment advisory firm that managed over $500 million.

Before his 14 year tenure with AMBS, John served as a Senior Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager for Barnett Banks Trust Company in Florida. He was also an investment analyst and fixed income portfolio manager for First of America Bank.

His background also includes corporate lending at Old Kent Bank & Trust Company as well as marketing and financial analysis at Burroughs Corporation. John graduated from Michigan State University in 1978 with an MBA degree in Finance after earning his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Denison University in 1975.

John received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1985 and is a member of the CFA Institute, the Western Michigan Society of Financial Analysts, and the Economic Club of Traverse City. He also authors a monthly investment column for MiBiz West business newspaper.



Jason P. Tank, CFA - jason@frontstreet.com

Prior to co-founding Front Street Investment Management LLC, Jason was an actuary specializing in investment and liability risk management in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After five years, he returned to his home in Northern Michigan and was a portfolio manager and shareholder of an investment advisory firm that managed $250 million.

Jason graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Directly following his undergraduate studies, Jason practiced as an actuary for Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America and ReliaStar Investment Research in Minnesota.

He earned the designation, Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) in 1999 and went on to receive his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2000. Jason is currently a member of the CFA Institute and the Western Michigan Society of Financal Analysts.
